Steve Harmon is well known in North Dakota and surrounding states as a composer, recording artist, church song leader, performer, Actor, Puppeteer and workshop presenter. He has recorded five albums of original music: Wounded Healer, I Will Sing of Your Love, Stand By Him, Cross Country and Cowboy Classics. He has also published three songbooks. Steve grew up in a musical family. His father was a professional country western musician who toured with the Grand Ole Opry. Steve often performed with him. In high school he and his brother Tim performed in a 50s and 60s rock band, and in college Steve directed a professional folk group, “the New Men and Women”. Steve is a member of a two variety dance bands “Tapestry” and "Classic Rhythm".
